Past pupil Lizzy Reed, Global Influencer Strategist for The Lego Group, and Harry Lonsdale, Delivery Manager for F1, came into school this week to help deliver a brilliant hands on careers lesson.

Pupils enjoyed a variety of Lego challenges. Lizzy and Harry shared that although grades are important, that employers are also really looking to employ passionate confident young people who have invested the time and effort in developing essential employability skills such as problem solving, creative thinking, team building and leadership. Skills developed through great extra curricular opportunities like Duke of Edinburgh, volunteering, community service and team sports. 

Thank you Lizzy and Harry for helping raise students aspirations and for the huge box of Lego that will be shared and enjoyed across the school.

One Year 10 pupil said “ it was the best lesson ever!”.
