Trustees

The River School comes under the Worcester Christian Education Trust (Registered Charity: 1171394) and is governed by a board of trustees who are responsible for the overall strategic direction of the school. The trustees are a group of dedicated individuals who are committed to providing a high-quality Christian education for the pupils of The River School.

About the Trustees

Tim Lonergan (Chair, Staffing & HR, Health and Safety)

Tim is husband to Lucy and father of 4 children, 3 of whom have attended The River School at various periods of their education. He is a committed Christian and attends Chawn Hill Church in Stourbridge at which he has served in various voluntary capacities including: Youth Worker, Sunday School Teacher, Sound and Lighting Technician and Elder. He has worked in the rail industry for over 30 years as a Locomotive and Plant Engineer; Adult/Apprentice Education Trainer; Health & Safety, Quality, Security and Environment Manager and latterly as a Supply Chain Compliance Auditor. Tim believes that education in a loving and secure Christian context is essential to develop character and ensure the child’s understanding of their identity free from the influences of the World.

Chris Hunt (Buildings and Grounds)

Chris Hunt has lived in Worcester for over 30 years. He is an Architect specialising in old buildings. His wife taught at The River School in its early days, his children attended the school and now his grandchild, so his links with the school have lasted a long time. He is a member of City Church in Worcester.  

Daniel Todorov (Technology, Marketing & Development)

Daniel has been connected to the school for several years having previously taught with us for a short time. Daniel will be bringing his expertise in IT, Technology and Engineering along with a passion for good quality Christian education.

Jean Heath (Safeguarding, SEND & Curriculum)

Jean has recently taken up the role as Trustee overseeing Safeguarding and SEND. Jean is highly experienced in this area having worked as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for several years. She also knows the School very well having previously worked here as an Early Years Teacher.

Kate Badger (SEND, Standards & Progress)

With a career in Occupational Therapy and many years of supporting the work of local churches, Kate is bringing a wealth of experience to the Trustee board. Having two daughters in the school she knows us well and has a future focused approach.

Natalie Holman (Finance)

Natalie is experienced with applying for grants for small organisations following her work with the 4Front Theatre Company and will be using these skills in her capacity as Trustee responsible for Finance. She is enthusiastic about getting involved with the school and seeing us go from strength to strength.
